So proud of these guys! Wonderful graduation day with some awesome kids. So inspiring to watch them watch across the stage after everything we have been through. I have to say I will miss them more than I can even describe but I am one proud teacher. I will confess I spent most of the day in tears (both of pride and sadness that they are leaving). But can’t wait to see what awesome things these two, and the rest of the awesome seniors, will do with their lives and just hope they come back to tell me all about them! Totally awesome day to be a teacher!

Beautiful day for a hike. Checking out the Bangert Island trial out in St. Charles with Alex, Charlie, Katie, and Andy. Unfortunately someone was a bad dog and snuck upstairs so she does not to get to come out for the hike today. Hopefully Zoe will forgive us when we get home from out adventure in the sunshine. ☀ Excited to spend time in the sun with some great people! Hoping that this wonderful weather is here to stay!

The first annual ILC Service, Spirit, and Success Day was totally amazing! The weather cooperated with clouds but none of the predicted showers, everything ran smoothly, and the kids had an awesome time. We competes four awesome service projects, had almost every student participate in more than one spirit event, ate wonderful BBQ (thanks Matt), and had 20+ guests join us today for awards. Jevon came up to help and had a great time meeting all of the kids and playing games with them. It was a completely wonderful day, and I am so grateful for all of the awesome people I work with that helped to make it possible. Special thanks to Tony, Amanda, the student leaders, and of course the most supportive teachers husband in the world. I will sleep well and with a big smile on my face tonight.

Date night with the couples in our small group to celebrate the end of our study on love. Great times and wonderful weather on our favorite patio. So blessed to have such wonderful people in our lives.

Happy Almost Cinco de Mayo! Margaritas and live music at Flip Flops with Jevon and Pete. Get to hear Jevon’s friend Joe’s band play and enjoy the festivities all in one stop. Since I have a jam packed Sunday celebrating Amanda. First bridal shower time then I get to celebrate her ROSE Award with her in the evening. Should be a great night tonight and can’t wait for tomorrow!

Amanda’s Bridal Shower! Starting off a full day of celebrations in style. Can’t believe in just 39 days we will be standing under a waterfall in Colorado watching Amanda and Glen say their vows. So happy to be be such a big part of Amanda’s big day! 💗

Wonderful and super productive Friday at work. Planned an awesome end of the year Olympic event with some of the awesome people that I work with and got to go see one of our talented students in a fashion show at South Tech with my work BFF. Doesn’t hurt that the sun is shining and I am at home with a glass of moscato before 5! Hope everyone is having a fantastic Friday!
