It has been a week of highs and lows. The conference in Atlanta on Tuesday was truly awesome. I got the chance to meet so many awesome people that work in the camp world and I think I am going to be able to do great things for even more kids at camps around the US. Unfortunately I came home to the news that one of my former students was shot and died. It is hard to imagine a student that I cared about so much dying at such a young age. Thankfully I work in a school that allowed the students that were affected time to work through it together at school the next day. It is such a tragic end to the life of a 19 year old who had made so much progress as a student. No news on arrangements yet but I will keep those interested posted and if everyone else could just keep the Pelligrini family in your prayers. It will be a tough weekend for a lot of people and my thoughts and prayers are with them.
